black and white of sad woman hug her knee and cry. Sad woman sitting alone in a empty room beside window or door

(By Bipolar Betty aged 50)

The reality of face to face assessments for a lot of people with mental heath issues and other disabilities can be life threatening and that is a fact !!

A few weeks ago Betty had to have one of these face to face assessments. Betty is autistic, Betty is a hermit and rarely leaves the house. Betty is happy this way.

Unfortunately the DWP don’t think that Betty should be happy, so they force her into a situation that she could not cope with.

Betty spent 3 weeks writing down how her disability affects her life. She ended up with 15 sheets of ways, and thought that as the assessment lasts an hour, the assessor will have plenty of time to read it.

Betty knows she is not going to be able do this assessment so she planned her own way of doing it.

Betty thought that although she’d had to start using cannabis to be able to cope with this stressful situation and she couldn’t deal with the stress at least she’s made an effort.

Betty thought she’d made a good job of it.

Unfortunately the nasty lady assessor didn’t think so, and said that Betty had refused to do the face to face interview, so she would have to go back and tell the DWP this.

Great thought Betty that’s us fucked.

Depressive and Bipolar Betty took this hard, in fact they just took over completely.

All Betty could do was think of dying. She came close enough, and even had to telephone the men in white coats 😱

She telephoned the samaratins a few times too, and they even started hanging up on her.

Betty was plodding along quite nicely until the nasty lady came and spoiled it all.

Betty went from plodding, to suicidal overnight. because of the DWP.

Fact !!!
