What’s In It For You ?

Like any wannabe successful blogger I want to be successful.

Success is relative, in my mind I am already a successful blogger because I now have 30 people following my blog on my WordPress site, and around 800 people following my Facebook page. This to me is success, after only 4 months of blogging from scratch, I actually feel like a blogger .

Just because We don’t have hundreds of thousands of followers, or that We’re not making any revenue from blogging doesn’t make us any less of a successful blogger in our own right.

Most bloggers want to be able to reach as many people as they can with their words, and so begins the drive to create an even bigger audience.

I work daily at trying to grow my blog audience, because I believe that people could actually benefit from what I have to share.

I am not trying to sell you fake sunglasses, or sign you up for a time share.

My blog is purely to help, to help me and to help my readers.

So why should you follow my blog ? What’s in it for you ?

Whats in it for you, is what you take away from it. Inspiration, a different perspective on life, insider information about topics that most people have little or no understanding of. You might find humour or empathy in my blogs, you might find spiritual healing, or you might just find something interesting in my stories.

Having had 50 years of living a life that most people wouldn’t believe was actually possible. I have a vast knowledge of many things, and a differently wired Brain that has processed it all.

My blogs have no niche as such, there is something in them for everyone.

In return I get the inner peace and happiness from knowing I have touched another spirit from my soul tribe.

Today I decided that I would share my daily oracle advice with my readers.

I use oracle cards on my spiritual journey, these cards give individual spiritual advice to the reader on their spiritual path.

Today I will share my individual advice given from a different energy plane.

I have never done this before but feel that some of my readers might too benefit as I do from this advice.

If it works for me then why shouldn’t it work for you.?

This card is telling us that we are all our very own oracle. Everybody is capable of tapping into their own sixth sense, and following their own inner guide.

Your sixth sense may be something that you are unaware of.

But just because you are not aware of it, this does not mean that it isn’t there.

This card is saying that we need to focus on raising our vibrations to connect with our sixth sense.

You already have all of life’s great answers inside of you. All you need is the belief in yourself and an ability to rise your energy vibrations to find these answers.

You are the oracle, do not look for guidance outside, for you hold all of the wisdom in the entire universe, in every cell of your body. Do not see the angels and guides as above you, but beside you, without you they have no way of communicating, you are the rainbow bridge.

So maybe ‘what is in it for you’ today is only a tiny seed planted in your mind, that continues to grow until you finally become that rainbow bridge too.

If like me you are already there, say hi, I would love to connect.

Kindness finds kindness eventually, I look forward to connecting with you all love Betty x

A Penny For The Guy, Lost Traditions and Blogging

the view from the joint.

I had already scheduled my daily blog, when out of the night sky a new blog formed.

I am currently sat in the joint at the top of the garden, it has no heat or lighting yet, but I have my hot water bottles in hand, and my hat, coat and scarf covering the rest of me.

I had forgotten it was guy Fawkes night until I started hearing the fireworks going off all around me.

I no longer have to suffer the yearly bonfire nights when the children were small, even though I hated them, my children having fun was more important to me, so I suffered in silence.

Tonight, after 30 years of bonfire nights, I can finally hang my retirement cap up, and watch them from the comfort of my rocking chair. At a safe enough distance, that the bangs don’t jolt my spirit out of my body.

Fireworks are so pretty to look at, but the accompanying bangs are just too much for someone with sensory processing disorder to cope with.

Noise cancelling headphones work up to a point, but I can actually feel the vibration right throughout my entire body, it is an extremely unpleasant feeling.

Tonight I need not worry, I can hear the bangs from a safe enough distance that it doesn’t actually hurt, and I can see the pretty fireworks too.

Bonfire night was a big deal when we were children.

Halloween was barely mentioned, but the week leading up to guy Fawkes was magical. We would make an effigy of Guy Fawkes, the Guy behind it all, the one who allegedly betrayed his country, and committed treason with his failed gunpowder plot.

We would use our parents old clothes, stuffed with our mothers old laddered tights, odd socks, newspapers, and anything we could lay our hands on to make a convincing Guy.

We would steal a turnip from the farmers fields for the head, and we would carve the turnip, the same way we do pumpkins now.

Only a turnip is one of the hardest vegetables on the planet, so this could take a while. Inside the carved turnip would be one of the candles that we always had in the house for emergencies, when the electricity went off.

Then we would go around the neighbours houses with our ‘Guy’ in a wheelbarrow, and we would ask ‘A penny for the Guy ?’

Money was very tight in those days, you got a lot for a penny in those days. We would share the goodies out between us, then our guy would be placed on the top of the bonfire and set alight.

We would put potatoes in the fire, covered in tin foil, and toast our bread, I had never even heard of a marshmallow in those days.

There were no fireworks involved in my early Experiences of Bonfire night, but over the years I have watched while fireworks became readily available to all.

It is strange watching old traditions die out, and new ones forming.

I wonder how many children waving sparklers in their hands right now, know the origins of why we celebrate this night in the UK ?

Enjoy your Guy Fawkes night, and stay safe, love Betty x

Don’t Hold Back Your Blogging and Mental Wellness

Having suffered with severe mental health problems for 40 years, you could definitely say I’m an expert.

I’m an expert in my own mental health issues, which include severe depression with suicidal ideation, severe Anxiety, and one of the most severe personality disorders, Dissociative Identity Disorder.

To add to this I also have Autism.

All people have differences, and some people are more different than just different.

I am a lot more different than your average 50 year old Grandmother.

Because I have been trying to keep those differences hidden from myself and the world, I ended up almost taking my own life.

Instead I began writing.

I have never kept a diary, Journal, or any kind of reminder of my daily life, and as I stared writing, I began to see the benefits that journaling had on my mental wellbeing.

I began at the beginning, it is usually the best place to start.

From my birth, through my childhood and into adulthood, I somehow ended up with 80,000 words.

Once my thoughts, feelings and memories came out, I felt a transformation.

Because these things were no longer trapped or hidden, and were there for all to see, I felt free.

As well as meditating, I continued on my journey by joining the Blogging community.

Blogging has become my therapy, my readers are my therapists. my thoughts and feelings are shared by those who read my blogs, as the saying goes ‘a problem shared is a problem halved.’

So what would sharing with the world do ?

Sharing with the world does something good, for myself, and for others like me.

Using a blog as therapy is the way forward.

Embrace your differences, talk about them, share them with the world.

You never know, your story could one day be somebody else’s survival guide.

Be your own inspiration, if you have knowledge of something share it.

Waiting for somebody else to ‘Fix’ your problems is a waste of valuable time. Be proactive not reactive. Love yourself as much as you love others.

Be kind and share always love Betty x

How Portents Content Idea Generators Can Help Your Blog.

I am a newbie blogger, stumbling my way around the blogging world, one blog at a time.

A few weeks ago I came across this site whilst looking for catchy headings for my blogs. I had the content, and needed a catchy headline to entice readers to my blog.

We all spend a lot of time and effort creating our blogs, and we want as many people to read them as possible.

This tool enables you to think of different ways to present your content, and catchy titles to promote it. There are many other features of this tool that I have yet to look into.

I have found it a very handy tool to have, especially if you need more creative ideas, or inspiration.

So if like me, you are at the beginning of your blogging journey, or just need a little inspiration, this is the tool for you.

It is free and helpful what more could you need ?

I’m glad I found it, and I use it frequently, great job guys.

All opinions are my own, as well as any spelling mistakes or grammatical errors.
